January 2017 Halfway Point!

Well we had our first snow of 2017!  We got about 6-8 inches, it lasted for about 3 days and then it was 60-65 degrees. Craziness!

Alyson lost a tooth on the 14th. It had been a while since the last one came out. Funny story. We were visiting in WV for Xmas 2015 and we were at the Microtel in Buckhannon. That is where Aly lost her last tooth. Bleeding and all I had to scramble to find some salt so that we could get it to stop. She was freaking out and I was just frazzled.  We got through it. This time, she told me like a month ago that it was loose. I told her to wiggle it. Fast forward to yesterday and I asked her about it and she hadn't been wiggling it.I told her to get to wiggling the tooth and then Jenna offered to get it out. Alyson freaked about because it was going to hurt. Jenna finally convinced her. Jenna said she wiggled it like twice and then tugged and it was out. Alyson didn't have the time to freak out cause it was done so fast.

She told me today that she got $5 for that tooth. Inflation!

Andrea has been helping a lot around the house. She is a good kid. I took her shopping at Hot Topic today, she had Hot Cash to spend. I think she enjoyed it.

Jenna hasn't been feeling very well this weekend. We just seem to bounce being sick throughout the house. Hopefully soon that vicious cycle will end.

I have been chipping away at my homework while still trying to have a bit of a life as well as work.

First Snow of the Year in the Richmond Area

Well, my kids are happy.  They get to sleep in tomorrow since they have a snow day. We got our first snow of the year this weekend with any real accumulation.   We probably got around 3-6 inches, I'm not real great as measuring the amount. On an exciting note, we finally got to use the snow blower that we purchased last year. Yeah!!!!  We got it last year and then it never snowed again, doesn't that figure. LOL.  Well, Jenna and I took it out and dug out the driveway and front walkway in under 3 hours. Which is a vast improvement from the 6+ hours last year that Keith, Jenna and I worked to get the cars out. Alyson went out to play in the snow and lasted maybe 1/2 hour. Catching up yet again

I haven't been on here in so long. I have had a busy few months. I was working for a while but then our sitter quit. So I'm now staying at home with Aly and Andi. Aly is growing really fast and is talking up a storm. Some words are really distinguishable and some just sound like a new language. We are trying to potty train her and she is resisting. Maybe she's not ready. Andrea is in the middle of her own battle, her weight. For those of you who know us, she has always been little. Well, after speaking with the doctor about this issue, we were trying pedia sure. (That stuff is expensive.) Almost a year later she has only really gained like a pound. So now the doctor wants to have her blood checked for a thyroid problem. She may have hyperthyroidism, or that is what he is thinking. well, any thoughts are appreciated.
