January 2, 2017: A New Year, better resolutions
Hello everyone,
Happy 2017!
I let a few months slip by me again. A lot has been going on in our little corner of the world.
First off, I had a horrible semester and it was about 97% my own fault. I need to have better rules about getting my work done and the reading completed. I have vowed to do better this semester. So if you see me slacking, tell me to go read some Accounting or Management. I figured out that I must read a minimum of 9 pages per day to get it all done. Now that doesn't seem like a lot but can quickly add up when you're not looking.
Secondly, Jenna's grandma passed away in December. It was a very hard loss for our family. We had to travel to Ohio for the funeral. It was a very nice service. Thank you Lisa and family for sending food to the hotel. It was much appreciated.
Thanksgiving happened somewhere in there. It was a good meal and we enjoyed having dinner with Keith and Linda as always. I don't remember much else as I was also in training for my new department.
I finished training at the end of November and have been working in Prevention since. I really enjoy the work as it is a series of puzzles that must be solved.
Xmas this year while it had it's sad points, the family seemed to enjoy it. We had pizza on Xmas Eve with Keith and Linda. It was so good. Keith does an excellent job. Jenna, the kids, and I had a nice time on Xmas day opening gifts and enjoying the day as a family. I think the kids really liked their gifts.
The kids spent New Year's Eve with Keith and Linda. Jenna and I spent it watching movies and watching the ball drop.
Well, I hope your year has started off well. I know that mine is pretty good so far.
Here's to posting more this year and getting better grades.
