Adventures of Pandi Bear and Aly Bug

Well, I was right about not posting for a while. I saw that one coming. We have been pretty busy so far this summer. June 14 - Our first family Camping trip Andrea and I woke up this day and went to the 3rd Annual Bacon Festival! Yes, I said bacon.  It was nifty and we had a bit of an adventure getting there. Jenna had found out about this festival and put it in our calendar (we could not live without this calendar and get to do fun things because we forget too much). When she put in the address she put in 7th St not 17th St.  Needless to say, there was not much going on at 7th St and Andi and I were quite lost.  We finally got to the festival. Basically all kinds of food vendors offer different food incorporating bacon. There was not much else to see or experience but I had some really awesome Bacon Cheese Fries.      Jenna has been very busy the last week. She has volunteered her time to SPARC which is a school for handicapped kids to enjoy the arts. Her volunteer time concluded today with their performance. Hello all, I have failed at posting. I haven't posted since a time in April. Life has been crazy......completely My classes were pretty time consuming and I goofed off more than I should have which lead to the last couple of weeks being completely insane just for that reason. The kids have about 3 more weeks of school and they can't wait to be on summer break. Aly wants to dye her hair pink and why shouldn't she??? Andrea just wants to stay glued to her computer/table/tv. The kid needs to see the sun. Jenna and I have been working constantly and working on projects around the house. We have gotten into the bad habit of starting several small projects and none of them are complete. We haven't even been to KD in a while. That will change tomorrow providing the world doesn't end....lol I finished my classes today which is awesome. Well, have a wonderful day and keep posted for more posts from me. Ok, the last time I posted, we had just had family pictures done. I still haven't posted any more up. I am a slacker. We had a pretty good March and April continues to be good.  Jenna's birthday was in March and she took the day off. Everyone should take their birthday off, I honestly think companies should enforce such a law.  The likelyhood that several employees has the same birthday is very small.... but I digress. Kings Dominion opened at the end of March and we took the girls. We have season passes.  We also got their trampoline up in the backyard. It is pretty cool.  April started and then the kids were on Spring Break. Two more trips to KD and a camping trip that got rained out.  I think they had a good time.  Lately, we have been living our daily lives with a few cool things here and there. I hope it is warm where you are. We had a very nice day today. It was light jacket weather for the first time in forever.....(sorry my brain went to the lyrics of frozen. lol) We had a pretty busy day today. Andrea got her hair dyed and cut, this was to fix the green debacle. She wanted a more natural color of hair. Then we got family pictures ;) Here is one that was taken today : The kids ended up having a 4 day weekend due to snow. Lucky stinkers. Jenna and I have been working, studying and trying to spend some time together with the kids and with each other.  Let alone get some sleep which is where I should be at this moment. We had another snow storm this week. We actually got probably 4-6 inches of snow. It shut down the kids' school for the entire week except for Monday which was President's Day and they had it off. Go figure I finished my classes today. I am glad they are done. They beat me up pretty bad and I have some concrete ideas on how to do better next semester.  Work is good, it doesn't really change much. Jenna is doing well at work as well. I think she is finally finding her niche there. The kids are great. They have enjoyed lounging around the house all week, while the adults worked. Slackers!  lol. Hello, It has been quite a week here. Andrea got her report card, She got a B in English but A's in everything else. The B happened at the last minute, which is discouraging. :( We have not received Alyson's report card. I think they forgot to give them out on Friday.  The kids had their Valentine's Party.  They weren't supposed to get any candy/goodies so I made sure not to put such things in the gift bags, and surprise, she got a bunch of candy in those that were returned. Figures I try to follow the rules and look like the house on the block that gives out toothbrushes. Andrea got her second xmas gift.... an electric scooter. She has not actually been on it yet. It goes up to 30 miles per hour. Watch out Chesterfield, crazy kid on the loose. LOL Jenna has been working, and just started a new set of classes. Happy February, Well, it's been almost a month since I last posted.  We finally had our first snow day. There was about an inch on the ground. The kids loved getting the day off. We celebrated my birthday as it was January 28. I spent two glorious days at the beach all by myself.  And took off 10 days from work, I have never done that before. It was awesome. :)  It was wonderful, even though it was January.  The kids finished their second quarter of school and first semester of the year.  We are now waiting on report cards. I believe that they come home this week.  I have no doubt that they both did fairly well. All Jenna and I ask is that they try their hardest. Jenna has started working her normal shift as training ended. I think she likes it. Today, Aly got her haircut. She had asked me about two weeks ago about getting it done and I finally remembered today. So off she and I went to Hair Cuttery. Her new "do" below is so ...

Well,  this kids have been back to school for about a week. Thought we were going to have a delay due to cold but that didn't happen. Still haven't had any snow. Yay! Jenna has another two weeks of training and then will start her normal shift. She will be working 4 10 hour days. I think that would be nice. Both girls are doing good. Just getting back into the swing of things. I on the other hand am sick :(  I was feeling fine until about 10 pm Friday night. Thought I was getting a cold, so I took some NyQuil and went to bed. Woke up on Saturday feeling even worse. Turns our I have strep throat. :(  I have felt crappy my whole weekend off. I'm on antibiotics and hope to be feeling better soon. Hope your week is great. k

Happy New Year! We had a good New Year's Eve! The girls and I watched the ball drop.  Jenna starts her fourth week at her new job tomorrow. I think she likes it, granted she's been in training this whole time. I am chugging away in my first semester of school. Still behind but working on it. The girls go back to school tomorrow. It should be an interesting day for Andrea as we dyed her hair green over the break.  I don't see a problem with it. When else in her life is it okay to dye your hair fun colors?  Most jobs look down upon it and as you age, one doesn't want to do the crazy colors any longer. I think she'll have fun with it. Alyson really wants her hair dyed but her school won't allow it. :( Though this summer she shall have some pink hair :) Well, hope your new year's was awesome. k
