Weekend and more

This weekend was a fairly lazy one in the house. It was jammie day on Saturday which was nice. Not having to worry about getting dressed and facing the world. James and I worked on hanging pictures which is pretty good since we have lived here for a couple of months and actually have pictures hung. :) Sunday we worked on various things and played some World of Warcraft with Andi. Aly watched Chipmunks 2 like 3 times.

Monday was the start of another busy day. Andi going to school and James going to work. Aly and I did our usual stuff. But yesterday was a little different. I did a little Christmas shopping. I won't say what I picked out for the girls for a couple of reasons. 1) I really like to see their reactions on Christmas. 2) Andrea has a computer and could potentially look here and figure out what she is getting. 3) Christmas is all about them so why spoil their excitement.

I also applied for some jobs yesterday. I really miss the working world but will miss the time I have gotten to spend watching Aly grow and learn. I realize now how much I truly missed when Andi was little. I have gotten to watch Aly grow so much this last year. But I need a job now :)

First Snow of the Year in the Richmond Area

Well, my kids are happy.  They get to sleep in tomorrow since they have a snow day. We got our first snow of the year this weekend with any real accumulation.   We probably got around 3-6 inches, I'm not real great as measuring the amount. On an exciting note, we finally got to use the snow blower that we purchased last year. Yeah!!!!  We got it last year and then it never snowed again, doesn't that figure. LOL.  Well, Jenna and I took it out and dug out the driveway and front walkway in under 3 hours. Which is a vast improvement from the 6+ hours last year that Keith, Jenna and I worked to get the cars out. Alyson went out to play in the snow and lasted maybe 1/2 hour. She came in and told me she was done with it. She said that "you can't get anything done outside because it so cold".  That made me laugh. Dre didn't want anything to do with the weather. Hey Everyone, Just thought that I would create this blog to be able to let friends and family know what all is going on in our little world. James is a registered Radiology tech in the army.
