relief
So as most of you know, Andrea has struggled to gain weight. Whether it be my fault for not knowing I was pregnant to some other reason I had no part in, she just has had lots of problems gaining weight. As of her birthday this year, the doctor decided to try a new tactic to help her in this area. He told me to have her take a vitamin a day and drink pedia-sure. She seems to like the chocolate and no other flavor, and yes it's expensive. Yesterday, we went back to the doctor to have a weight check. In September, she weighed 40.5 lbs. yes I know she's a skinny stinker. We went in yesterday and they weighed her. I was baffled, I read 40 lbs and was instantly sad. I don't know what else we can do to help her. Then the doctor comes in and is very pleased. I mentions that I don't know what happened and that I'm just at a loss. That's when he tells me that she weighs 46 lbs. I was instantly relieved and now think I need to get my eyes checked. LOL Yes my kids weighs almost 50 lbs at 9 years old. The cool thing is that she gain almost 6 pounds in 2 months. He told me to keep up with the pedia sure and vitamins. With all that said, I just want to say that even though this is one battle that Andrea probably has to fight because of my irresponsibility (stuff I did because I didn't know I was pregnant), I am so very proud of her. He wants to check her in June of next year to make sure that she is still on the right track with her weight. By then I'm hoping that she has gained like 10 pounds. She's tired of her little sister being able to man-handle her. LOL Another day down and still climbing :)
