Really cool experience

Last night Andrea and I had a really cool experience. After dinner, she and I went to see the Navy Sea Chanters. The Navy Sea Chanters is part of the official Navy band (1/5). They are the chorus part. The performed at a nearby school.

They have amazing voice and performed a bunch of different songs. At one point, a group of 5 of the guys sang Frankie Valli songs. And another point in the concert, they sang songs of the 1960s which was really cool. At the end of the concert, we got to shake hands and speak with some of the performers. Andrea really enjoyed herself as did I.

If ever given the opportunity, I suggest seeing these wonderful performers. The nice thing is that their concerts are free and occasionally you have to have tickets but they are free as well. They have several more concerts this year and a couple include other parts of the band. Check out their website at http://www.navyband.navy.mil . It would be a good time for anyone and I highly suggest it. :)

First Snow of the Year in the Richmond Area

Well, my kids are happy.  They get to sleep in tomorrow since they have a snow day. We got our first snow of the year this weekend with any real accumulation.   We probably got around 3-6 inches, I'm not real great as measuring the amount. On an exciting note, we finally got to use the snow blower that we purchased last year. Yeah!!!!  We got it last year and then it never snowed again, doesn't that figure. LOL.  Well, Jenna and I took it out and dug out the driveway and front walkway in under 3 hours. Which is a vast improvement from the 6+ hours last year that Keith, Jenna and I worked to get the cars out. Alyson went out to play in the snow and lasted maybe 1/2 hour. Hey Everyone, Just thought that I would create this blog to be able to let friends and family know what all is going on in our little world. James is a registered Radiology tech in the army.
