Halloween Fun
Sunday was Halloween. It was a pretty busy day for several reasons. First off, I had to go to the grocery store at least for a couple of items since I was unable to do the shopping on Saturday like I normally do. Then the pumpkins had to be carved and we had three of them. They turned out nice. Andrea wanted hers to be a vampire and Aly's was a smiley face with fangs. The third one turned out to be the words "Am I Scary" which James was aiming to make it "Andi and Aly" but the N accidentally turned into a M. LOL Part of the day was James trying to get some part for his labtop to work, which didn't turn out well. Looks like we're going to have to replace it when we can :(
I got dinner ready at about 4:30/5:00 so that I would have enough time to get the kids ready for trick r treating. We had chicken patty's and green beans. One of our favorites. :) Then it was time to get the kids ready to go out. Aly's costume was easy since she was going to be a cheerleader. Mostly just putting her in long sleeves and pants with her cute little outfit over the top. And she was done. Andrea on the other hand took a little longer. She was a dead child miner from the movie "Wicked Little Things." So there was makeup and fake blood to be had. She was in all black and her face was light gray with blood around her mouth and on her hands. She even had a bloody axe. I think both girls looked really cool.
Trick or treating was from 6-9pm, we really only stayed out till about 8:30. The reason for this, is because Aly was getting rather tired. She did really good, climbing up so many set of stairs. She would push on the side of the door thinking it was the doorbell which was so very cute. :)
When we got home, we were all very tired but I think fun was had by all. I believe that the kids got about 10 lbs of candy. I posted the pictures on face book. it was insane. LOL But onward and upward to another week. Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween.
