Welcome April 2017

Hello all.

I hope you have had an enjoyable week. I know that I have. This was one of my rare weeks off from school.  I finished my last semester last Saturday and the next one starts on Monday.  This semester is a retake of the classes that I took in October.  You can guess that I didn't do so well on those. (hence the retake)

We had a good family week.  The kids finished their 3rd quarter.  It will be interesting to see how they did.  I hope they both did well.

Alyson finished her bottle buddy project and turned it in. It was on Helen Keller.  If you are not sure what a bottle buddy is then do a Google Search.  She even typed out her report. I was very proud of her.

Andrea has been practicing driving on the actual roads.  She is getting stronger with each trip that she drives.  She is building confidence and it's nice to see. She should be confident.

Jenna has been working toward her weight goals. We are all super proud of her.

I got to enjoy video games and time off. It was glorious!!! :)

Well, back to the grind.

Missing the Bug and Bear

Well, the kids have been in WV for about a week now. Yes, I'm going crazy without them. Luckily, we have the wonderful ability to see them through Skype. The girls seem to be enjoying their time with their grandparents. My mom is trying to help us out by attempting to get Aly potty-trained. She is fighting me tooth and nail on this. I don't think that she can't do it, I just think that she is being stubborn. Not that I know where she would get that from. They will come home just before Aly's third birthday. I can't believe that she is going to be three already. I feel like I just had her yesterday and before I know it, she'll be leaving us for college. Weeks 37/38

Okay I'm 37 weeks and 6 days. I have a Dr appointment on Friday. James asked the doctor last week about inducing me and he said if I was dilated 2-3 cm. I'm hoping that this happens. I know I shouldn't complain but I'm just so tired of being pregnant and not being able to have control over things. Andrea started 1st grade this past week. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She seems to really like school and she has her own desk for the first time. She was completely thrilled that she does not have to take a nap during school every day. Unfortunately, the night before school started Andrea had a little accident. She was playing ball outside and the ball got away from her and started to go down over the small hill behind our house. She ran to get it and tripped on the sidewalk. She did quite a number on herself. She has a scrape on her chin, scrapes on both of her elbows (the inside) and a pretty bad scrap on her knee. I'm still trying to figure out ...

First 3rd grade report card

Well as most kids and parents know, it is generally the end of the first semester of the school year. It is a stressful time of year for some kids as they do not know how their parents will react if their report card is not good. Andrea has always been one of those kids that thinks she is not doing well but knocks it out of the ball park. As was the case for this report card. She asked me one day if I would still love her if she didn't get As. I was sad that she asked me that question because no one should ever withhold affection over a grade. I immediately told her that it didn't matter to me if she got straight Fs, I would always love her. Before looking at her report card, I asked if she had tried her best and she said she had. That alone would have been enough for me. Just to let you know, she got straight A's of which I had no doubt.
