Lots of catching up to do

I had forgotten about this blog for a while. Let's have a recap of events. The last time I was on here, I was still pregnant. LOL Alyson is 2 years old now and ornery. Andrea is 9 and in 3rd grade. We live in Manassas, VA and James is no longer in the Army. I am a stay at home mom who sells Avon. Check out the website at http://www.youravon.com/krowan .

Alyson decided to make me wait. She was born on August 24, 2008. On a side note, that is also my grandmother's birthday. Didn't I give her a great present. :) Aly is growing fast and learning all kinds of things. She really likes "joooice" as she says it.

Andrea is still smart as a whip and proves it more a little every day. She seems to like 3rd grade. She is at a new school again this year and her teacher just had a baby girl. Andrea still loves soccer and girl scouts but isn't in them right now.

James was discharged from the Army in July 2009 and we moved to Virginia. He is now working in Sterling, VA. Just don't ask him about flight attendants. LOL

I stay at home with Aly which makes for an interesting day. I am currently selling Avon and looking for a job. I just wasn't made to be a stay at home mom, and have the utmost respect for anyone who does.

Well, that catches everyone up. I'm going to try to keep up with this but as we all know, I'm forgetful. Until next time.

First Snow of the Year in the Richmond Area

Well, my kids are happy.  They get to sleep in tomorrow since they have a snow day. We got our first snow of the year this weekend with any real accumulation.   We probably got around 3-6 inches, I'm not real great as measuring the amount. On an exciting note, we finally got to use the snow blower that we purchased last year. Yeah!!!!  We got it last year and then it never snowed again, doesn't that figure. LOL.  Well, Jenna and I took it out and dug out the driveway and front walkway in under 3 hours. Which is a vast improvement from the 6+ hours last year that Keith, Jenna and I worked to get the cars out. Alyson went out to play in the snow and lasted maybe 1/2 hour. She came in and told me she was done with it. She said that "you can't get anything done outside because it so cold".  That made me laugh. Dre didn't want anything to do with the weather. Hey Everyone, Just thought that I would create this blog to be able to let friends and family know what all is going on in our little world. James is a registered Radiology tech in the army. I'm working at Wal Mart as a cashier and 7 months pregnant Andrea is spending the summer in WV and getting ready for 1st grade Lazarus, Nemo and Ares are all ornery kitties as usual.
