Catching up on blogging

Ok, I haven't kept up on this like I promised myself. Go figure. Well let's see. Alot has happened since I had the 3D Ultrasound. I gained a few pounds and am back to losing again. I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and can't wait for Alyson to make her appearance. I have been going to the doctor at least once a week and have been off work since July 12. I landed myself in the hospital twice so far because of dehydration both times. Dehydration leads you to feeling like you are in labor, so take my advice, drink lots of water. :) The doctor now says that Aly is out of the danger zone and can be born at any time. I had a 4th ultrasound per the doctor's request on July 28th. That showed that she was approximately 6lbs 3oz with a big head and a due date of August 23rd. So I asked the dr. what that meant for me and he said that if I wanted he could induce around that date. I'm thinking it's not a bad idea. It would cut off about a week and half of being preggers. I wouldn't mind. I got Andi registered for 1st grade a couple of weeks ago and she will be coming home this weekend. I can't wait, I have missed her so much. And I know that James has missed her as well. Back to the baby since that's what most people want to know about. I am not dilated but she has dropped and I don't believe that I'm effaced yet, not sure dr hasn't said. I'm sick of being home all the time but don't want anything to happen to this little girl because I've worked so hard to get to this point in my pregnancy. I just want her to be healthy. I see the dr again this Friday and maybe I'll be a little dilated but who knows just as long as she is healthy. What worries me is that James is going back to Bucktown to pick up the kid this weekend and I'll be on my own for at least two days. I just don't want to go into labor when James might be very far away. But also I wouldn't mind if I went into labor tomorrow. Well, it's late and I need to try to sleep.

Alyson sure grew into that big head she is beautiful just like her big sister Andrea. Only I believe it's not going to be long before Aly outweighs Andi. Andi is tall but petite boned.-MIL Linda

First Snow of the Year in the Richmond Area

Well, my kids are happy.  They get to sleep in tomorrow since they have a snow day. We got our first snow of the year this weekend with any real accumulation.   We probably got around 3-6 inches, I'm not real great as measuring the amount. On an exciting note, we finally got to use the snow blower that we purchased last year. Yeah!!!!  We got it last year and then it never snowed again, doesn't that figure. LOL.  Well, Jenna and I took it out and dug out the driveway and front walkway in under 3 hours. Which is a vast improvement from the 6+ hours last year that Keith, Jenna and I worked to get the cars out. Alyson went out to play in the snow and lasted maybe 1/2 hour. She came in and told me she was done with it. She said that "you can't get anything done outside because it so cold".  That made me laugh. Dre didn't want anything to do with the weather. Catching up yet again

I haven't been on here in so long. I have had a busy few months. I was working for a while but then our sitter quit. So I'm now staying at home with Aly and Andi. Aly is growing really fast and is talking up a storm. Some words are really distinguishable and some just sound like a new language. We are trying to potty train her and she is resisting. Maybe she's not ready. Andrea is in the middle of her own battle, her weight. For those of you who know us, she has always been little. Well, after speaking with the doctor about this issue, we were trying pedia sure. (That stuff is expensive.) Almost a year later she has only really gained like a pound. So now the doctor wants to have her blood checked for a thyroid problem. She may have hyperthyroidism, or that is what he is thinking. well, any thoughts are appreciated.
