Winter is Here and the Holidays have Passed.

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!



2018 is here at last.

It has been a quick minute since I last posted. We are now halfway through the school year, I've started a new semester.  So many things have happened since my last post.

Alyson has a pretty grand 9th birthday!!  We took her to Dave and Buster's and lots of presents.  She got lots of stuff she didn't need. lol And now she's in 4th grade. She made the S.T.E.A.M. Team at school and is really happy about that. She is also going to be in the girl scouts starting this month!!!  I'm sure that we will be selling some cookies, please buy :).

Dre (formerly known as Andrea) is in 10th grade and she had a pretty darn good birthday as well.  Dre also went to Homecoming with her now boyfriend Phoenix.  She is been doing a lot around the house for us. And has been getting in lots of driving time. Driver's license test is coming up...... yikes? 


Jenna had surgery in December. This was a big step in her transition.  The surgery went well and she has a good deal of healing ahead of her.  She also got a promotion at work. AMAZING.


I am loving my new role and am learning a bunch. I also get to enhance the skills that I brought with me ;)  I have also started a new semester, Check out my Other Blog--- My Journey into the Accounting World.  <--- :="" here="" is="" latest="" link="" my="" p="" post.="" the="" to="">

The holidays were pretty good. Lets start 2018 with positivity and love.

Well, the kids have been in WV for about a week now. Yes, I'm going crazy without them. Luckily, we have the wonderful ability to see them through Skype. The girls seem to be enjoying their time with their grandparents. My mom is trying to help us out by attempting to get Aly potty-trained. She is fighting me tooth and nail on this. I don't think that she can't do it, I just think that she is being stubborn. Not that I know where she would get that from. They will come home just before Aly's third birthday. Weeks 37/38

Okay I'm 37 weeks and 6 days. I have a Dr appointment on Friday. James asked the doctor last week about inducing me and he said if I was dilated 2-3 cm. I'm hoping that this happens. I know I shouldn't complain but I'm just so tired of being pregnant and not being able to have control over things. Andrea started 1st grade this past week. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She seems to really like school and she has her own desk for the first time. She was completely thrilled that she does not have to take a nap during school every day. Unfortunately, the night before school started Andrea had a little accident. She was playing ball outside and the ball got away from her and started to go down over the small hill behind our house. She ran to get it and tripped on the sidewalk. She did quite a number on herself. She has a scrape on her chin, scrapes on both of her elbows (the inside) and a pretty bad scrap on her knee. I'm still trying to figure out ...

First 3rd grade report card

Well as most kids and parents know, it is generally the end of the first semester of the school year. It is a stressful time of year for some kids as they do not know how their parents will react if their report card is not good. Andrea has always been one of those kids that thinks she is not doing well but knocks it out of the ball park. As was the case for this report card. She asked me one day if I would still love her if she didn't get As. I was sad that she asked me that question because no one should ever withhold affection over a grade. I immediately told her that it didn't matter to me if she got straight Fs, I would always love her. Before looking at her report card, I asked if she had tried her best and she said she had. That alone would have been enough for me. Just to let you know, she got straight A's of which I had no doubt.
